I hope to demonstrate the dangerous influence Christianity can have on the one’s psyche and mental well-being. Of course, I am not equating all forms of Christianity to dangerous cults, like Scientology. Many moderate Christians practice their faith without engaging in any hypnotic mind control techniques like speaking in tongues, chanting, allowing themselves to loose physical control and so on. However, if left unchecked any religion has the potential to corrupt and destroy the lives of its followers, spread falsehoods, and inspire discrimination/hatred of those who do not share similar philosophical beliefs.
